![]() ![]() Faye and Jaime have worked for each other quite often, usually for cash but sometimes for services. She's often hired to find out things, track data trails, unveil secrets, and less often (but more often than you would think), find certain individuals and their routines. They only meet when the information being shared needs to be shared very discreetly, or large sums of cash need to be exchanged that would look suspicious on the matrix.Faye, as said, is an infobroker. Faye is an infobroker that he usually reaches through the matrix, the two have VERY rarely met, and even then, only if both sides wear enough to cover up each other's identity, including masks. Thus starting Jaime's, or rather, Mouse's, career as a runner.Ĭontact- PhoenixFaye2113Okay, so the reason this contact is named this way is that Jaime doesn't actually KNOW who this person really is. The runner then asked him if he was interested in making some real nuyen, and Jaime agreed. Rather than dying, Jaime chose to share his scheme, and was surprised to find the Runner impressed he pulled this off on so many people and no one noticed till now. He was caught, and was sure he was gonna be Fragged (Am I using that right?), when the Runner asked him how he did that. Only a little bit, nothing major that the person would notice, but he did this to enough people that he started to make a rebound. With nothing left, Jaime wasted away in the matrix, till he discovered a way to make some money to survive: by worming his way into people's accounts and siphoning Nuyen. This left a black mark on his SIN, making it very difficult to find work again. ![]() Jaime was blamed, and in anger he struck his manager. The alterations to the code however backfired, and the company's system went down for a good while, losing precious company time and money. The manager agreed, but instead decided to steal the program, alter it to add his own flair, and present it as his own work. He presented this to his manager, and asked if he could show it to the higher ups. Still, trying to climb his way up, he whipped up a new program that would improve the company's logs and search engine and increase workflow. Unfortunately, his talents were ignored and he ended up at a nothing job working for a small coding company. He hoped to come out and hit it big, to help his parents and abuelita who took care of him. Jaime showed interest in technology, especially coding, and had a strong aptitude for it so he went to college to study. Explain to me otherwise tho, I'm genuinely interested!īackstory: Its fairly simple Parents were wageslaves, and tried to keep within the system, leading to Jaime here getting a SIN (SINner quality). The reasoning I chose B-Attributes is something I read: "Skills won't mean much if your attributes can't keep up." Not sure how accurate that is, but I enjoy my stats, so I think its okay for now. I'm building a Decker, and I have read some people but B for skills, others B for attributes. Priorities: A-Resources, B- Attributes, C- Skills, D- Metatype, E-Magic. Screenshots of the chummer ChargenSo beforehand, lets get some stuff out of the way I used Chummer 5e to make this, so if anything seems weird or like a piece of augmentation isn't where it belongs, I just did what Chummer allowed me to do, and according to it, the character is valid. Eventually I said fuck it, tried my best to make a character from beginning to end, and here is what I came up with. After reading that, I did my best to build a character, zipping around the chapters of the book, looking up guides and creation suggestions on a few forum sites (including this one!) and became overwhelmed with the options and not understanding what most of it means. So, I was reading the base 5e player handbook (just straight up reading it from page 1), and I got hooked by the time I was on character creation. "Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never, ever, cut a deal with a dragon."Įdit 3: This has been resolved.
